Photo Essay - Aquarium


The National Aquarium in Baltimore's newest attraction was bustling Saturday as visitors crowed around the Living Seashore.
These moon jellyfish are harmless to humans.
Aquarium staff explained to visitors how to correctly touch animals like horseshoe crabs, rays and skates.



Several kids reached to touch the moon jellies which have stingers too small to harm humans.
Visitors were allowed to touch the animals on the wings and backs.


A mom and daughter reach into the touch pool.

At the moon jelly tank, some visitors were too afraid to reach in.

Touching the skates on the back or wings is harmless for both the animal and the people.
